Karl is the Cofounder and COO of Excelsio Communications, the premier municipal wireless broadband consulting group. Excelsio brings an informed approach to the wireless consulting space that is based on actual wireless network deployment experience. Karl has overseen the design of multiple wireless area networks to date as well as consulted with municipalities and counties such as Grand Rapids, MI; Decatur, GA; Alpharetta, GA; Marietta, GA; Rome, GA; Cheyenne, WY; Racine and Rock County, WI, which are in various stages of their wireless broadband initiatives. He also developed a financial model for analyzing municipal wireless network deployment opportunities that has won rave reviews from clients and partners.

Prior to cofounding Excelsio Communications, Karl was a product manager for Radiant Systems, where he helped to develop wireless applications for the retail technology sector. Karl also worked with the US Department of Commerce in Ukraine in the 1990s, where he developed a Ukrainian Regional Investment Stimulation program that was designed to expose Ukrainian business executives to state and private institutions in the U.S. and understand how the private and public sector work together to stimulate regional investment. Karl earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Utah and an international MBA from the University of South Carolina. He is also a Proxim Certified Wireless Broadband Engineer.

David Dunn is founder, Chairman and CEO of VC3 where he has been responsible for building the company since 1994. His vision and execution at VC3 have been instrumental in helping the company to continue to grow. In 2000, Mr. Dunn was named to SmartPartner magazine’s list of “50 Smartest People” in the technology industry.

Prior to founding VC3, he served as a developer, project leader, and manager for a leading UNIX systems vendor. Mr. Dunn has been actively involved in the technology industry for over 20 years. During his career, he has had significant experience as a developer and project leader for multiple systems software development efforts, and as a manager of database application development and system support groups.

Mr. Dunn currently sits on the board of directors for EngenuitySC and the Boys and Girls Club of the Midlands. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer and Electrical Engineering.
